Cloud-based NAV calculation platform

Overview
NAVquant.com is a cloud-based SaaS platform built to modernize how Net Asset Value (NAV) and fee calculations are produced for investment vehicles such as Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs). The platform addresses a critical operational layer of asset management that remains largely manual, opaque, and error-prone across the industry.
The Problem
Although the NAV is the single most important number in an investment product, driving subscriptions, redemptions, performance reporting, and fees, it is still commonly calculated using complex spreadsheet chains and fragmented data sources. These processes are time-consuming, costly, difficult to audit, and highly dependent on individual expertise. As a result, errors are hard to detect, calculations are difficult to reproduce, and trust between managers, administrators, auditors, and investors is weakened.
Project Origin
NAVquant emerged from direct, hands-on experience managing an Alternative Investment Fund with multiple sub-funds. Repeated challenges in validating NAVs produced by third-party administrators, combined with high operational costs and limited transparency, highlighted the need for a fundamentally better approach. Rather than optimizing spreadsheets, the project set out to rethink NAV production from the ground up.
The Solution
NAVquant replaces spreadsheet-driven workflows with an automated, standardized NAV and fee calculation engine. Complex logic, such as multi-series structures, performance fees with high-water marks, minimums, and caps, is encoded into machine-readable, explainable workflows. Every calculation step is traceable, making results easy to verify, reproduce, and audit.
Key Benefits
The platform significantly reduces operational risk by minimizing manual intervention and standardizing calculations. It improves efficiency by saving tens of hours per NAV cycle and lowering administration costs. Built-in audit trails and detailed reporting enhance transparency for auditors, regulators, and investors, while collaboration features allow teams to work from a single, reliable source of truth.
