Subscription-based food delivery system

We partnered with an entrepreneur to bring to life a subscription-based food delivery system from the ground up. The goal was to turn a bold idea into a seamless digital experience - from initial concept to full product launch.

Project Overview

• Client Vision : Create a weekly food delivery service where users subscribe, choose meals from a rotating menu, and get charged automatically.
• Our Role : End-to-end product development - from UX design to implementation of both frontend and backend systems.

Discovery & UX Phase

• Conducted a discovery phase to define product goals, user flows, and business logic.
• Produced detailed wireframes to explore and validate the user experience across all screens.
• Ensured all user interactions - from onboarding to meal selection - were intuitive and optimized.

Design & Branding

• Delivered a complete visual identity and digital asset kit tailored to the brand’s values.
• Designed a responsive and engaging website UI , focused on usability and conversion.

Frontend Development

• Implemented the frontend using Webflow , taking advantage of: Its powerful CMS to manage dynamic content such as weekly menus.
• Built-in animations and responsiveness for a polished user experience.
• Easy-to-update content management for the client post-launch.
• Developed custom JavaScript and jQuery libraries to: Extend Webflow’s native capabilities.
• Implement custom logic, user interactions, and dynamic actions not supported out-of-the-box.

Backend Architecture

• Developed a scalable backend to support core business logic, including: Account management system for subscribers.
• Dynamic menu logic - a new set of meals each week, customizable by the user.
• Subscription billing and order processing .
• Leveraged a mix of third-party solutions : Stripe for secure recurring payments.
• Mailchimp and SendGrid for marketing and transactional emails.
• Used Node.js Lambda functions to handle custom backend logic, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Integrated with a managed database solution to securely store user data and order history.
